Job title: Nuclear Safety Licensing & Compliance Lead

Location: Plymouth / Remote

The Energy Division at ARM, is currently recruiting for an experienced Nuclear Safety expert for a 12-month contract with an International Engineering business, who specialises in Nuclear Defence.

What you'll be doing

  • Nuclear system integration of the design, operations and working practice;
  • To ensure the safe conduct of nuclear activities on site and during ADMP operations;
  • Surveillance, monitoring, review and assessment of the methods and practices related to nuclear safety licensing and authorisation compliance management;
  • Plan for effective project implementation, identifying key factors and leading the project's technical planning process for safety licensing and authorisation compliance;
  • Ensure effective quality management arrangements are in place to achieve safety licensing and authorisation compliance;
  • Ensure that the arrangements in place to achieve safety licensing and authorisation compliance are commensurate with Business Management System and Technical Manual;
  • Ensure that the processes and activities being managed are appropriately documented with appropriate records maintained and configuration and quality controls applied for safety licensing and authorisation compliance;
  • Ensure that all nuclear safety documentation and information is articulated to the Design Manager(s) to enable appropriate safety justification of the engineering/activities that enable operations to take place safely;
  • Help and support the Safety Case Management team to ensure that all nuclear safety case documentation is clear and understandable.

  • Relevant safety qualifications related to the role
  • A strong understanding of Nuclear safety standards
