Motion Control HV Systems Engineer in Gaydon, Warwickshire

ARMs prestigious client is hiring for a Motion Control HV System Engineer; working on cutting-edge technologies within the automotive hybrid sector. This is a truly exciting opportunity to be working at the top of the field within the industry.

About You...

Are you experienced in automotive vehicle manufacturing or consultancy ideally with direct experience in the delivery of Powertrain ideally in hybrid technologies?
Are you educated to a degree level in mechanical or electrical engineering or a related discipline?
Do you have a strong controls background?
Ideally recent experience of Systems Engineering tools and Agile Software Development?

About the role...

* Comprehensively deliver Hybrid HV control systems and hardware to maximise key attributes, such as performance and driveability, across a range of complex High voltage systems as applied to our Hybrid and Electric vehicles.
* Responsible for Planning and delivery of all activity leading to a successful concept with a view to production feasibility.
* Manage outsourcing to support technical, timing and commercial goals.
* Manage and support powertrain activity on defined projects, assimilate and distribute knowledge within the wider team using appropriate tools and methods, specifically using System Engineering tools and principles.
* Be the key point of contact for defined customers and suppliers to powertrain Hybrid concept with regard to the HV System, comprising HV components and the interface to wider vehicle systems and controllers.
* Develop and perform all necessary HV System Test Cases, prepare reports of all findings from Rigs (e.g. SiL, HiL, PiL), Test beds, Vehicle testing and environmental testing of the vehicle, store in System Engineering based repositories and present post-processed data to all levels up to director technical meetings.
* Manage and hardware/tools to support development activity.
* Guide, direct and train to develop other team members.

The role is onsite in the Warwickshire factory based in Wellesbourne. Commutable from Warwick, Stratford, Oxford an Northampton. This is a permanent position.
