To provide a comprehensive maintenance and site support service, ensuring the safe, effective and efficient operation of facilities, equipment and workplace services. The role includes general maintenance duties, logistics support, furniture installation, event support, and assistance with basic mechanical, electrical and plumbing tasks under appropriate supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, sort and distribute incoming mail, parcels and deliveries across site.
- Collect, move and install office furniture, including the assembly of flat-pack furniture.
- Carry out basic plumbing maintenance tasks under supervision and in accordance with site procedures.
- Carry out basic electrical maintenance tasks under supervision and within competence levels.
- Support the Facilities and Maintenance team with day-to-day site activities as required.
- Operate site vehicles and equipment, including forklift trucks (training provided where required).
- Set up and dismantle rooms, furniture and equipment for meetings, events and site activities.
- Dismantle, relocate, assemble, install and maintain machinery, equipment and workplace infrastructure in accordance with specifications, drawings and instructions.
- Use hand tools, power tools and lifting equipment safely and effectively.
- Assist with moving machinery and equipment using hoists, trolleys, rollers and other approved handling equipment.
- Carry out routine inspections, preventative maintenance activities and basic repairs.
- Replace worn or damaged components and assist with equipment rebuilds and reassembly.
- Support maintenance technicians and engineers with the overhaul and repair of more complex mechanical equipment.
- Maintain accurate records where required and report defects, hazards or maintenance issues promptly.
- Comply with all Health & Safety, environmental and company policies and procedures.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties consistent with the role
Basic Qualifications
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Basic understanding of maintenance and facilities support activities.
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely.
- Good level of physical fitness and ability to undertake manual handling activities.
- Awareness of Health & Safety requirements and safe working practices.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexible and proactive approach to work.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
