ARMs client is hiring for an exciting role as a Learning & Development Manager within a large power solutions company. The company specialises in developing the most efficient clean energy systems making our planets future more sustainable!

The new L&D manager will help the company succeed by training and developing its people. It is essential you have a passion for helping people learn and grow! In the role you will be leading the management strategy across learning frameworks and solutions (design and implementation). Working within HR you'll be managing, improving and designing leadership development programmes and initiatives around the employee lifecycle.

About you...

-You will have a degree in training and development or related discipline.
-Strong experience within corporate learning in engineering/manufacturing similar industry.
-Up to date knowledge of effective learning and development methods in relevant industry.
-Experience in creating learning and strategies and supporting programs.
-Experience in providing structured training solutions.
-Experience in project management and budgeting.

Your key responsibilities will include:
-Develop a solid understanding of the business needs and create an L&D Strategy and action plan to address the needs.
-Creating training programmes that are aligned with the organisation's objectives and national training requirements.
-Ensuring training remains in line with regulatory and statutory/engineering/manufacturing training standards.
-Encouraging and coaching behaviours which support the Core Values of the company
-Working closely with business unit leaders across the organisations to develop and improve skill matrix methods and having a full understanding of their teams and training requirements.
-Embracing different styles of training techniques and designing inhouse/e-learning courses, career plans, workshops, coaching etc.
-Managing the allocated budget and the ability to find solutions in order to implement the required training.
-Ensuring the relevant training certificates and standards are reviewed and uploaded to HR system.
-Collecting and analysing feedback and reports on L&D, projects, targets and accomplishments.
-Reviewing and improving inductions across the organisation and implementing continuous development programmes to support employees.
-Working with Engineering, Operations and HR team to support the development of staff, enhancing the provider status and helping managers to develop their team members through career pathing.
-Assessing the success of development plans and helping employees make the most of learning opportunities.
-Managing apprenticeship programme and ensuring adequate use of our Levy and ensuring we are optimising our allocation.
-Managing and monitoring work experience and student shadowing.

The role is based in Birmingham and offers hybrid working; usual hours are 09:00-17:00.
