Hardware System Engineer

12 Month Contract Role
£60-65ph Umbrella

We are looking for a Hardware Systems Engineer to join us in a 12 month contract. You will be expected to play an active part in the design and development of new products from concept through to manufacture and beyond Willing to participate in military product design. You will also be involved in the development of electronic/electrical hardware through the whole product lifecycle in line with aerospace standard.

Day to Day Responsibilities -
o Produce Engineering Artefact (schematics, BOM, Hardware Requirements, Hardware test Procedure, Hardware test report) Solving complex hardware engineering problems Work as part of a diverse disciplinary team
o Produce documentation to support hardware design & certification solutions Hardware requirements management with traceability to design and test Hardware Qualification Management in line with aerospace standard DO-160

Ideal Candidate will possess -
o An understanding of regulatory and safety requirements for safety critical products (ideally gained in aerospace industry)
o Knowledge of Electrical Wiring Installation System (EWIS) regulatory.
o A working knowledge of software and systems design Ability to understand and be involved in all phases of the product development life cycle
o Experience in development of HW electrical/electronic product in a safety critical environment (ideally gained in aerospace)
o Knowledge of product design and development activities including exposure to design for manufacture and test-methodologies
o Experience of working in a team environment delivering products to cost and schedule Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills

Key Qualifications -
o Bachelor's degree in electronic/electrical from an accredited university/college or equivalent qualification or equivalent level of knowledge
