Electrical Design Engineer in Plymouth, Devon

Role Details:

• 12-months contract
• Royal Devonport Dockyard (Hybrid)
• 37.5 hours per week

The Energy Division at ARM is currently recruiting an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join a Nuclear Civil client, to be based out of Plymouth.

Some of your roles may include:

• Assist the Design Manager in project delivery.
• Prepare and produce drawings.
• Maintain project documentation.
• Coordinate with stakeholders
• Develop innovative design solutions.
• Interface with customers and supply chain
• Fulfill Design Lead responsibilities.
• Communicate Risk Assessment to staff and contractors.

What do you need to succeed?

The candidate should possess the following qualifications:

• Familiarity with electrical design in accordance with applicable codes, such as LV Power, EC&I, or Building Services.
• Knowledge of common installation techniques used in electrical works.
• The ability to exhibit the necessary skills and awareness for the technical development of designs.
• Understanding of relevant engineering concepts and safety practices based on specific discipline, position, and project needs.
• Familiarity with the Company's and departmental policies regarding Design, Health & Safety, and Quality requirements.
• Proficiency in relevant engineering computer programs.
