Cyber Engineering Consultant

Bristol

4-month contract

Paying up to Circa £79p/h (Inside IR35)

Please note - Due to the nature of the work, you'll be required to hold or be eligible to obtain a high level of UK Security Clearance

Responsibilities:

  • Managing risks and services in accordance with customer, regulatory and legislative expectations.
  • Supporting the delivery of security aspects to the company's core products to external stakeholders (inclusive of Radars, Lasers, Operational Technology, Information Technology).
  • Engaging with engineering teams and delivery of all facets of cyber and information security related to the delivery across the engineering lifecycle - from requirements all the way through to in-service support and maintenance.
  • Exposure to product architectures, encapsulating technologies such as electro-optics, radars, lasers.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • A degree in an engineering discipline and/or degree in a cyber security discipline, OR equivalent recognised professional cyber security certification.
  • Proven experience operating in a Cyber/Engineering Role.
  • Involvement in MOD accreditation and secure by design processes (ISN2023/09), associated policies and practices across the lifecycle.
  • Experience outside of traditional enterprise IT scenarios extending to proprietary and open-source software, firmware and electronic hardware.
  • Exposure to Operational Technology (OT) (in alignment with standards such as IEC62443).
  • Experience working with cyber and security requirements down to the system control level.
  • Experience conducting cyber and information security risk assessment activities including threat modelling, vulnerability analysis and analysis of mitigation's.
