ARMs client is seeking a Kit & Facilities Engineer that will be responsible for the management of all Whole Vehicle Acoustics instrumentation, equipment and facilities. Operational duties to support the Acoustic development and delivery of current model lines. Working with and reporting to the Functional Manager - Acoustics

About you...

* Acoustic/NVH attribute development knowledge in key attribute area (e.g. Aero-acoustics, Road Noise, Powered Ancillaries, Ride Comfort, Powertrain, Sound Quality, Squeak & Rattle) with experience in supporting physical development testing
* Experience in acoustic data acquisition equipment, software & facilities
* Experience of acoustic test component and system technical specifications
* Risk assessment, Facility Audits and Health & safety requirements experience
Skills/Experience
* A self-starter with a customer-focused mind-set,
* Excellent communication skills
* Ability to plan, organise, prioritise and manage multiple task and deliver within project constraints
* Collaborative approach integrating with Whole Vehicle - Acoustics Head of Department, Functional Manager, Technical Manager and Engineers
* Proactive ability to collaborate and influence to deliver requirements with stakeholders across the business
Qualifications
* A degree in acoustics, electronics or mechanical and/or equivalent experience

About the role...

* Responsible for effective and efficient management of Whole vehicle - acoustics equipment and test facilities which includes test & measurement equipment and facilities management (bookings, maintenance, calibration, upgrade, replacement, new investment), planning and managing functional Capital budget and expenditure (Capex) and Revenue budget and managing health and safety processes for Whole vehicle - acoustics facilities and other risk assessments within the department.
* Experience of acoustic data acquisition equipment, software and facilities
* Accountable for planning and monitoring equipment and facilities to meet cost, timing, health & safety Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
* Troubleshooting and rectifying hardware / software issues (Siemens TestLab, HEAD's etc)
* Manage and update software data acquisition and analysis Licence Server (Siemens TestLab etc)
* EGA Facilities Scheduling all annual preventative maintenance and subsequent repair work with outside contractors, whilst balancing internal workload requirements and bookings
* Vehicle Semi Anechoic Chamber test support for running of the vehicle dyno
* Improving engineer capabilities with the current hardware/software used to analyse test data by arranging demos of best practices and future equipment technologies to maintain status as leading innovators in the industry
* Health and Safety, Facility Audits, Risk Assessments of Whole vehicle - Acoustics facilities
* Preparing the Engineers required kit, for customs process & documentation, and transport to overseas test locations to the required timing
* Ability to manage activities with key service providers and suppliers
* Develop of new processes and methodologies to enhance Whole Vehicle - Acoustics kit and facilities infrastructure
* Supporting Head of Department & Functional Manager in office layout, cost center budget management, facility strategy etc
