The Energy Division at ARM are currently recruiting a Software Engineer/ Control System Engineer for our Nuclear client, to be based out of Whitehaven, Cumbria

Job Overview:

Exciting opportunities await in Control System roles at the Centre of Excellence to support a major project. You will have the chance to modify specific control systems and provide plant support while working across the site and using new technology. This career progression path in the IT and Engineering disciplines will allow you to work within a dynamic and experienced team. If you have a background in plant maintenance or engineering or possess a keen interest in IT solutions, this role could be the perfect fit for you.

Some of your duties will include:

• Ability to perform complex system modifications without supervision.

• Provide specialist technical and engineering advice and support to plant maintenance teams, engineering teams (system, equipment & stream engineers), customers and stakeholders

What do you need to succeed?

• Can provide evidence of expert knowledge of one or more of a variety of PES technologies including PLC, SCADA, DCS, MIS/HLS, SQL Server, Modicon M and Networks.

• HNC or higher qualification in an electrical, electronic or software-related subject.
