Category Manager (Technology) in London

Category Manager (Technology) - Remote - Permanent - £Competitive

ARM are looking for a Senior Category Manger to join one of our clients on a remote basis and manage the Technology Category.

Your purpose:
The Category Manager will be responsible for Developing and maintaining an effective procurement Category Strategy for Technology and lead a category team in its implementation in order to deliver first class value for the business and protect it from risk.

What you'll be doing day-to-day:

* Account manage senior internal customers in the business areas serviced by the category
* Lead the category team in the development and implementation of a procurement Category Strategy for the specified category of goods and services
* Ensure sourcing activity in the category is carried out in an efficient and timely way
* Lead, motivate support and develop individuals in the category team
* Challenge and guide the team to ensure the timely development of effective procurement strategies that maximise financial and non-financial value delivery.
* Work collaboratively with other Senior Procurement Managers to make most effective use of the resources available across the procurement functions.
* Ensure the maintenance of accurate and complete electronic records for all contracts and projects in the category
* Provide expert negotiation guidance and support to maximise value delivery or mitigate risk across the category
* Role model business values and leadership behaviours.

Your skills:

* Track record of value delivery through the development of effective Category Strategies and the application of strategic sourcing methodology.
* Technology Category Management experience
* Minimum 3 years' experience in procurement roles.
* Demonstrable experience of leading, supporting, managing and developing a team.
* Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (MCIPS) Qualified
* Degree level with relevant post graduate experience and/or qualifications.
