Case Officer (Financial Assessments) - Leicester - 6 Month Contract - Up to £13.50 per hour

ARM is delighted to be recruiting for a local authority who is actively seeking a Case Officer in the Financial Assessments team to join them on a contract basis for a minimum of 6 months.

The role requires working as part of the Adult and Communities Adult Social Care Finance team to manage financial assessments for service users in receipt of chargeable services.

Responsibilities:
* To acquire and maintain awareness of appropriate specialist knowledge of non-residential and residential departmental charging policies and procedures
* Undertake financial assessments for adult and children services
* To obtain all appropriate financial and other relevant information to calculate the weekly assessed charge
* To ensure that all data recording, monitoring, and reporting is undertaken and processed in line with organisational requirements
* To prioritise and manage their caseload; work and communicate with service users and other agencies through visits, phone, email/online or post

Requirements
* Experience in managing a caseload involving dealing with queries and correspondence from the public
* Working with computerised financial and data management systems
* The ability to effectively communicate in writing converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English
* To be able to work without direct supervision and manage own time effectively to ensure tasks are accurately completed and deadlines are met, acting with high levels of trust and personal accountability
* Smart appearance commensurate to the duties of the post
