CAD Engineer – Defence Vehicles in Bedfordshire

PermanentRoles and Responsibilities
- Design and engineer integration solutions and automotive upgrades on a range of vehicles.
- Work with other engineering specialists (Electrical, electronic, software, production) to ensure delivery to clients.
- Consider both technical and commercial aspects for new projects.
- Ensure designs fall within budgets and timeframes.
- Liaise with key stakeholders, both internal and external and ensure adherence to relevant guidelines.
Qualifications
Educated to degree level or equivalent in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering
Skills
- Automotive engineering to vehicle manufacturer quality standards
- Experienced in CAD, modelling, assemblies and technical drawings, preferably in SolidWorks
- Knowledge of vehicle systems, legislative requirements and equipment supplier capabilities
- PC skills including, but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- CAD surfacing skills
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to persuade and influence at all levels
- Problem-solving and innovation
- Full UK Driving License
Hold, have held it previously or being willing and capable of holding UK Defence Business Services (DBS) National Security Vetting (NSV) or 'SC' Clearance
