A leading energy consultancy is seeking an experienced Cable Engineer for high-profile HVAC and HVDC transmission projects across the UK.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop HV cable systems, including selection, installation methods, and technical calculations.
- Produce engineering drawings, specifications, and documentation.
- Conduct site surveys, support installation, and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Collaborate with project teams and provide expert technical guidance.
Requirements:
- Degree in Electrical or Power Engineering (or equivalent).
- Extensive HV cable design and testing experience; HVDC desirable.
- Knowledge of IEC cable standards, CIGRE/IEEE policies, and 3rd-party cable activities.
- Chartered Engineer or working towards status.
- Willingness to travel across UK projects.
