The Energy Division at ARM are currently recruiting an experienced Business Lawyer to join our Offshore Installation Contractor client, to be based out of the Kingston upon Thames office.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is looking to develop their career to the next level, as our client are opening up a brand new department to strengthen their company functions.

Job Overview:

Provide assistance and advice to the Company functions, Business Lines and Operating Companies regarding any legal aspect impacting on the life of the Company, including prevention and settlement of litigations. Manage and coordinate the provisions of assistance and advice in relation to Contract Law and interpretation.

Some of your duties will include:

• Communicate with and understand the legal requirements of Company functions, Business Lines and Operating Companies.
• Perform in/depth researches on laws and regulations, investigate facts and prepare documents to support the legal activities.
• Research and analyse the sources of statutory law, final verdicts, legal articles, treaties, constitutions, codes of law and the like.
• Draft, review and draw up legal documents, contracts, and deeds. Assist other Company function in the negotiation and interpretation of contractual documents.
• Provide all necessary reports regarding legal files to the corporate/company/relevant internal clients.

What do you need to succeed?

• Bachelor's degree in Law
• Complete understanding of Common Law rules and regulations
• Minimum five years post qualified experience
• A background in the Offshore industry would be an advantage but not necessary
• Ability to conduct extensive research and having a detail-oriented approach
