Job description:
- Works within an assembly and test environment.
- Responsible for the assembly, integration and testing of complex systems to include bonding and composite laminating and curing, including mould preparation.
- Trims, cuts, vacuum bags in preparation for curing.
- Uses drilling and manual machinery equipment including jigs, fixtures and measuring instruments on high precision assemblies.
- Mentors and trains others.
- Uses problem solving techniques to solve assembly and test problems.
Required skills, qualifications and experience:
- Direct experience in a Composite environment through training or hands on experience
- Ability to work from detailed engineering drawings.
- Works to specifications, procedures and engineering drawings. Inspects produced parts using various inspection and test methods.
- General engineering workshop practices and proven Manufacturing experience.
- Ability to work from written and verbal process instruction.
- Uses a methodical and precise approach to ensure successful completion of production tasks on highly sensitive and high value hardware.
- Liaises with engineering and design to improve manufacturing methods and procedures.
- Holds the ability to prioritise work load in order to meet deliverable commitment timelines.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and reporting skills.
- Housekeeping and 6S.
