We have a newly created opportunity for a Product Taxonomist/ Product Manager with Taxonomy background to join our clients growing Product team. You will own the product taxonomy ensuring the best possible homeowner and trade experience, while maintaining our focus on revenue growth. You will own and lead the management of all categories helping homeowners find the right trades to get their jobs done.

If you an experienced Product Taxonomist, with a knack for ensuring customers find what they want in the fewest clicks possible.
Location: Either London or Portsmouth base. Hybrid working applies with 2 days in the office, 3 days from home.
Where do you fit in?
This is a fantastic newly created opportunity that reports to our Trade Product Director. You'll develop, implement, and maintain all product categories across the business including auditing existing categories and subcategories. You'll implement processes and customer communications to support upselling new categories and manage the end of life for those that are being removed. You'll work collaboratively with sales, operations, and marketing to build the Taxonomy roadmap. You'll also regularly review the relationships between trades and homeowners and identify journey funnelling and lead enrichment opportunities to increase the volume of jobs completed. In addition, you'll operate as a part of the wider product function of 20 product and UX experts and help Homeowner & Search Teams leverage and create a plan for a natural language search and potential of new technologies such as Open AI and other ML / AI capabilities.

What do you need to succeed?
Sound expertise in product taxonomy in a medium to large scale organisation demonstrating clear commercial benefits and results.
Excellent understanding of the product life cycle and the user experience
Personable - develop relationships with teams across the business and become the key contact for any changes, recommendations, or issues regarding product categories.
Presentation and communication skills - skilled in presenting your ideas and recommendations to senior stakeholders. Ability to tailor delivery depending on the audience.
Excellent analytical skills (Excel & SQL) and be familiar with BI software (PowerBI preferred)
