Electro-Mechanical Engineer in Bristol

As the Electro-Mechanical Engineer, you will be working with an Aerospace company conducting the following responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities:
- RosH , REACH, Low Voltage Directive, EMC fundamentals, CE and UK CA marking
- Concept generation, detailed design & development, support qualification and production
- Plan, conceptualise, and create mechanical designs for new products
- Develop testing processes, and perform testing and validation of new designs
- Generate working prototypes for beta testing and customer demonstration
- Perform engineering calculations to support design work
- Create and review technical drawings, plans, and specifications using computer software
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineering teams, and work with vendors and contractors
- Perform detailed documentation to track project development and design process
- Ensure project timeline is met and project stays within budget
- Update design specs to reflect changes as required
- Optimise the design solutions, based on the correct balance of cost, quality, manufacturability, serviceability and performance.
- Produce engineering schemes, models and drawings for components/assemblies in line with the requirements of the Programme.
- Prepare drawings and other engineering data required for the manufacturing of the product and data submittal to the customer.
- To communicate effectively with co-worker, customer and suppliers
- Configuration services, BOM creation using codified components.
- Delivery and installation strategies, installation designs (red/green drawings), mod packs for installing hardware products onto platforms.
Essential skills:
- Excellent knowledge of Aerospace structures
- Excellent knowledge of computerised design and analysis methods (CREO)
- Experience with GD&T (tolerance stack up)
- Good experience of aerospace Composite (honeycomb) /Metallic materials and manufacturing processes
- Good knowledge of Microsoft office
- Knowledge of Smarteam
- Customer focused/Ability to establish credibility with internal and external customers
- Understanding of processes: ECRs, Concessions,…
- Understanding of stress principles
- Awareness of A/C industry standards, regulations and qualification requirements
- Good English verbal and written communication skills
- Able to work to tight, demanding deadlines and customer demands
- Ability to work effectively within an integrated project team
- Knowledge of tools like JIRA, DOORS, PALMA
