ARM are delighted to be working with a community based social housing provider operating in the West of England.
The right candidate will own and be the go-to person for all things Financial Planning.
Responsibilities:
* Updating the Financial Plan and using it to gauge business viability and to test viability under different strategic directions and different economic conditions.
* To test head room capacity in respect of liquidity, loan covenants, Golden Rule compliance, development, and other business improvements.
* Testing new ventures, projects, and business change through the Financial Plan.
* To stress test the Financial Plan and compile, quantify and test mitigating actions available to counteract unfavourable Financial Plan results.
* Providing a diligent end-to-end accounting and finance service to the development team for new development projects.
* Review and account for monthly development activity and assist in the preparation of the year-end financial statements in respect of development.
* Assist in cash flow forecasting and reporting to lenders and regulators.
* Complete and submit the annual Financial Forecast Return and assist in the completion of the quarterly Finance and Risk Survey.
Requirements:
* A qualified CCAB accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA, ICAS) with 2 years post qualification experience.
* Demonstrable experience of preparing consolidated financial statements.
* Advanced level Excel skills.
* Experience of designing and implementing financial controls.
* Be able to understand and interpret data.
* Be proactive in finding solutions to problems and issues.
* Good working knowledge of IT, competent with Microsoft Office packages.
* Good team management skills in an agile working environment.
* Evidence of continuing professional development
* Experience of using Financial Planning software
* Have experience in Development/Capital Finance
