Are you an experienced Quality Operations Technician? Do you have experience working within a GMP-regulated manufacturing environment and a strong understanding of quality inspections, audits and compliance? If so, this could be the role for you!

We are partnered with a leading manufacturing business in Southampton who are looking to hire a Quality Operations Technician to support their Quality team.

This role is vital for ensuring manufacturing operations, incoming components and products meet required quality, safety and GMP standards. You will work closely with Operations to identify issues, provide quality guidance and support continuous compliance across the plant.

This role is offered on a contract basis for 12 months initially, working Mon-Fri 07:00-15:00.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct product, process and document inspections and audits against quality, compliance and safety standards.
  • Carry out daily GMP checks across manufacturing areas to ensure continued compliance.
  • Inspect incoming components and third-party products against agreed specifications.
  • Provide guidance to Operations teams on quality and operational procedures.
  • Support and train Operations colleagues in basic in-process quality tests, including weight and torque checks.
  • Identify, escalate and report out-of-specification products or processes.
  • Support GMP, Data Integrity and other site-wide compliance programmes.
  • Assist Operations with deviation management, issue resolution and troubleshooting activities.
  • Conduct CAPA effectiveness checks as required.
  • Work collaboratively with manufacturing teams to maintain high standards of quality and compliance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Previous experience within a quality, manufacturing or production environment is desirable.
  • Experience working within a GMP-regulated facility is preferred.
  • Understanding of manufacturing quality standards, inspections and compliance processes.
  • Experience conducting process audits would be advantageous.
  • Ability to carry out sampling activities and accurately interpret written procedures and instructions.
  • Comfortable using standard quality control equipment such as scales, viscometers, pH meters, torque testers and other inspection equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and good communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and stand for extended periods where required.
