Based in Crewe 3/4 days a week
We are looking for a motivated and delivery-focused Procurement Sustainability professional to join our team and help drive sustainability across our supply chain and procurement operations.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering sustainability initiatives that reduce environmental impact, strengthen supplier compliance, and embed responsible sourcing into procurement decision-making. You will work closely with procurement teams, suppliers, and senior stakeholders to translate sustainability strategy into practical operational delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and deliver procurement sustainability projects from concept through to implementation
- Drive delivery of the procurement sustainability roadmap and associated improvement initiatives
- Support supply chain decarbonisation activities and supplier sustainability programmes
- Assist with the integration of sustainability into sourcing and supplier selection processes
- Support supplier compliance, due diligence, risk management, and sustainability reporting activities
- Coordinate governance activities, project tracking, reporting, and stakeholder updates
- Help implement traceability and chain of custody processes across the supply chain
- Develop practical guidance, templates, and training materials for procurement teams and suppliers
- Monitor KPIs and sustainability metrics including emissions, waste, energy, and water data
Experience
- Experience in procurement, supply chain sustainability, ESG, or project management
- Strong organisational and stakeholder management skills
- Experience managing cross-functional projects and delivering operational improvements
- Knowledge of supplier sustainability, decarbonisation, compliance, or responsible sourcing
- Strong communication, reporting, and analytical skills
- The ability to work collaboratively across internal teams and supplier networks
Experience with Product Carbon Footprint (PCF), Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), traceability, or supply chain sustainability regulations would be desirable.
