The Energy Division at ARM are currently recruiting a Senior/ Principal Planner to join Our Environmental Consultancy client, based out of Chesire.

Job Overview:

My Consultancy client is looking for an experienced Senior/ Principal Planner, ideally from a background within the public sector as a Senior/Principal planning officer (MRTPI) or regulator for waste and minerals sites. A background in environmental consultancy, as a minerals and waste planner, will also suit the expertise required for the role.

Some of your duties will include:

• Preparation, submission, and management of different scale planning applications in the waste and/or minerals sector (e.g. waste transfer stations, waste to energy, composting, anaerobic digestion, landfill, quarry, etc.)

• Liaising with Waste Planning Authorities throughout the application process to achieve a determination

• Providing advice on planning-related matters (i.e. Permitted Development, EIA, planning enforcement issues) including site visits with clients and regulators

What do you need to succeed?

• Understanding and experience of Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Regulations and applications (including screening and scoping

• Highly competent in report writing and use of Microsoft Office
