The Energy Division at ARM are currently recruiting a Service Technician to join Our Alternative Energy solutions client, to be based out of Essex
Job Overview:
As our new team member, you will be working in close collaboration with the Site Supervisor. This is a key role as you play a crucial part in maintaining our assets. Your role entails ensuring that heat is continuously supplied through the seamless facilitation of biomass fuel on-site.
You will be the backbone of the team when it comes to undertaking planned and reactive maintenance. Troubleshooting, installation, and repair works are all essential components in making sure our site is always running smoothly, you will be responsible for facilitating its supply while working alongside your equally passionate team of colleagues.

Some of your duties will include:
- Records of inspections, maintenance routines, and repairs onto the Protean system
- Good housekeeping, to 5S lean principles
- Facilitate the biomass fuel supply to the site, receiving deliveries, and handling fuel onto the walking floor system where required utilising a tele-handle
- Ensure accurate and detailed report and record keeping of fuel supply, maintenance, testing, and HSEQ incidents; risk assessments and auditing, via our online HSEQ and service management systems
What do you need to succeed?
- Experience in working on heat and steam generating plant and equipment within large industrial sites with a continual heat demand.
- Strong engineering background, with both mechanical and electrical experience, ideally with boiler plant/plant room experience which is advantageous
