Running a recruitment search and selection campaign on a national level
The Place: UK
The Requirements:
- Assistance in recruiting hard-to-fill professional signalling positions across the UK
- Ongoing staffing provision through a Managed Service
The Solution:
- Supplying 18 appropriate signalling professionals within a very strict timeframe
- Completely resourcing the staff for Signalling Solution’s new office in Newport, Wales
- Additional added value including: a UK-wide candidate attraction campaign, hosting specialist ‘Signalling Design’ open days, maintenance of a bespoke client microsite on ARM’s website
Project history:
In August 2013 ARM was invited to bid for an opportunity to run a Managed Service for the resourcing of over 20 Signalling Designers in the UK for Signalling Solutions (SSL). Additionally, SSL was looking for a recruitment specialist to source a number of hard-to-fill professional signalling positions, across the UK.
This restricted tender required the resourcing partner to organise a comprehensive UK-wide candidate attraction campaign, as well as managing the complete design supply chain for the foreseeable future. Having won a tender to run a restricted Managed Service, ARM is now SSL’s highest performing supplier and a highly valued partner.
How we help Signalling Solutions:
Our initial solution fully met SSL’s expectations by supplying the 18 signalling resources, all within in the allocated timeframe. Impressively, ARM also completely resourced the staff for SSL’s new office in Newport, Wales.
As well as running the ongoing activities of the Managed Service, ARM continues to provide added value to our relationship with SSL. In the last 24 months we have supported a UK-wide candidate attraction campaign to ensure there is a steady pipeline of talent being drawn to the opportunities at SSL.
ARM has also hosted specialist ‘Signalling Design’ open days, to offer potential candidates a flavor of what SSL has to offer. Additionally, we continue to maintain the bespoke SSL client microsite on ARM’s website as a key point of contact for careers at the company.
The Specifics:
Having won the bid by demonstrating we had the ideal experience in running comprehensive recruitment search and selection campaigns, we designed a comprehensive solution to find the right professionals for SSL.
To ensure the process ran as planned, we put together a specialist recruitment team, led by an experienced SPOC (Single Point of Contact) Account Manager. We also created the bespoke client microsite to aid the search for potential candidates as well as running a UK-based candidate attraction roadshow. To further assist SSL, we have even managed a number of niche tertiary suppliers when required.
