Test Technician in Enfield, London

PermanentWe are looking for a Test technician for one of our key defence clients based in London on a hybrid basis. The company are an innovative company based in London that work on next generation defence and security electronics products to combat various range of threats, they do this by having a creative and cutting-edge technology which themselves above and beyond other products in the market.
The Job
You will report to the company's production test lead and perform comprehensive testing of high complexity electromechanical components that are part of a maritime radar navigation product range.
The Main Responsibilities
* You will be performing complete testing (including RF), faultfinding, repair, and assembly of electromechanical equipment to a high standard of quality, while using oscilloscopes, power metres, and power supplies, and will have experience working up to 25KW peak power.
* You'll be working with precise processes, drawings, documentation, change notes, schematics, and spoken and written directions.
* You will examine and inspect your own work as well as the work of others, as well as do proactive troubleshooting and problem solutions.
* You will produce and collaborate in a team setting while implementing continual improvements and guaranteeing the highest quality.
* You will maintain order in the facilities, materials, and work environment by exercising care in their use, adhering to 5S standards, and adhering to all ethical, health, safety, compliance, and quality requirements.
Essential experience
* At least 2 years' experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment.
* Analytical approach to problem solving with strong numeracy and literacy skills.
* Proven experience of fault finding, rework, assembly to a high standard of quality and RF testing.
* Proven proactive ability, with strong team skills and attention to detail.
* Experience of working in a cellular manufacturing environment would be an advantage.
