Location: Milton Keynes - Hybrid
Rate: £600 per day Umbrella
We are looking for an experienced Strategic Sourcing Manager to lead sourcing and tender activities across complex, high-value procurement programmes within a regulated environment.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end sourcing and tender activities.
- Manage and support a team of sourcing professionals.
- Develop sourcing strategies aligned with category plans.
- Ensure procurement activity and documentation meet governance and regulatory requirements.
- Provide guidance on procurement policy, compliance and assurance.
- Work with senior stakeholders, governance and assurance teams.
- Support reporting and wider management activities.
About you:
- Strong public sector procurement experience is essential.
- Proven team management and leadership experience.
- Strong understanding of governance, assurance and compliance.
- PA23 experience/training is desirable.
- MCIPS or equivalent is preferred.
- Strong commercial, influencing and stakeholder management skills.
- Infrastructure, engineering or rail experience would be advantageous.
- Able to hit the ground running in a fast-paced, reactive environment.
