We are looking for an experienced Senior Process Engineer to join the CCA Manufacturing support business area us on a permanent basis. You will primarily support the Manufacturing business area and focus on Manufacturing equipment and process integrity, effectiveness, and efficiency.

We would like someone who can take ownership for the process & equipment performance, whilst driving continuous improvements and addressing quality issues throughout the manufacturing process. This is a high reliability, low volume/high mix environment. So you will also be responsible for liaising with internal customers such as Design, NPI, Manufacturing Engineering and Quality teams in order to understand drawing/build requirements.

Day to Day you - responsibilities will include -
*Developing and implementing robust /repeatable manufacturing processes.
*Be responsible for the process/equipment throughout the Value Stream for the product
*Machine program generation and platform support for SMT equipment such as Screen printer, Jet dispenser, SPI and placement machines.
*Creation of reflow oven profiles ensuring integrity of solder joints in line with internal quality guidelines and IPC-A-610 standards.
*Machine program generation and platform support for PTH equipment such as Selective solder and Wave solder systems.
*MXI of PTH solder joints vs and IPC-A-610 standards.
*Implementation of Engineering Change Notes (ECN's)
*Creation of Rework processes (BGA, BTC, PTH)
*DFM Analysis and collaboration with Design teams
*Drive Zero-Defect Quality levels (Mission Assurance)
*Achieve On Time Delivery targets
*Effective use of manufacturing data and analysis techniques to proactively identify and address issues, driving systemic RC/CA
*Report and maintain Process/Equipment Engineering metrics, tracking performance & yields against team KPIs and Individual Goals & Objectives
*Drive continuous improvements through the use of Best in Class and World Class Manufacturing principles
*Lead the justification, selection, implementation and qualification of new capital manufacturing equipment investment.

Key Experience we are looking for -
*Minimum of HNC in an electronics-related subject (HND / Degree preferred)
*In-depth knowledge of Electronic Circuit Card Assembly Processes
*Significant (SME) experience on at least some of the platforms and processes as named above
*Detailed SPC knowledge to control process performance
*Familiarity with IPC-A-610 guidelines (including recent revision updates)
*Analytical engineer who can process data efficiently to provide solutions to problems
*Can demonstrate/contribute to improvements within the SMT process.
*Good team player who is willing to take ownership of problems and participate fully in team activities.
*Ability to work unsupervised
*Strong knowledge of computer systems & general software applications
*Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work well within an established Engineering team
*Good technical communication skills (verbal & written)
*Customer focused with a "Can do attitude"
*ESD awareness
*COSHH & Risk Assessment
*Experience working in a high reliability electronic assembly environment (Defense / Medical / Aerospace)
*Mycronic (MyData) Experience
*AOI and AXI Experience
*Automated Router Experience
*Conformal Coating Experience
*Wash process Experience
*PFMEA experience (Process Failure Mode Effect Analysis)
*Understands the principles of 6 Sigma and Lean Manufacturing
*Knowledge and experience of SAP and Shopfloor data collection systems
*Flexibility to work shifts if required
*Ability to support occasional travel (training courses, trade shows etc.)
