Salary: 31,000 - £39,000
About the role
To provide a comprehensive maintenance and site support service, ensuring the safe, effective and efficient operation of facilities, equipment and workplace services. The role includes general maintenance duties, logistics support, furniture installation, event support, and leading the delivery of basic mechanical, electrical and plumbing tasks within established procedures and competency levels.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out maintenance and repairs (Mechanical) to a wide variety of machinery, vehicles, pumps, generators and systems.
- Carry out and provide assistance to 3rd party inspections (such as LOLER. L8, PSSR etc).
- Operate site vehicles and equipment including Forklift trucks. (training provided where required).
- Assist with machinery moves using lifting equipment, trollies,rollers etc.
- Replacement of worn parts and rebuild of equipment/Machinery.
- Work from specifications, drawings and instructions individually and as part of a team.
- Use hand and powered tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records where required and report defects, hazards or maintenance issues promptly.
- Comply with all Health & Safety, environmental and company policies and procedures.
- Take part in team activities such as event set ups and tear downs.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties consistent with the role
Basic Qualifications
- Mechanical qualification such as city and guilds level 3 or equivalent and/or evidence of experience
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Good understanding of maintenance and facilities support activities.
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Good level of physical fitness and ability to undertake manual handling activities.
- Awareness of Health & Safety requirements and safe working practices.
- Computer literate.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexible and proactive approach to work.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
