Rate: £500 per day (Inside IR35)
Contract: 3 months
We are looking for an experienced Senior Asset Manager to join a property and estates team, taking responsibility for the effective management and optimisation of a diverse commercial property portfolio.
The Role
You will manage a caseload of commercial property assets, developing asset management and investment strategies to maximise value, improve income streams and reduce occupancy costs.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Developing asset management, investment and disposal strategies.
- Identifying surplus and under-performing assets and developing value-add opportunities.
- Undertaking financial and commercial appraisals for lettings, rent reviews, renewals and refurbishments.
- Leading commercial negotiations with developers, partners, stakeholders and other parties.
- Managing external property and legal consultants to ensure timely, high-quality outcomes.
- Providing valuation and strategic asset management advice on retention, disposal, development and investment opportunities.
- Ensuring statutory, legal and governance requirements are met across the property portfolio.
- Preparing reports, recommendations and strategic property information for senior stakeholders and relevant committees.
- Contributing to corporate asset management plans and wider property strategies.
- Maintaining accurate property and asset management information using relevant systems, CAD/GIS and other software.
Essential Requirements
- Degree or equivalent in Real Estate, Property, or a similar discipline.
- Full Membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS).
- Strong experience in commercial property / asset management.
- Proven experience of financial appraisals, valuations, lease management and commercial negotiations.
- Experience managing property portfolios and delivering asset optimisation, disposal or development strategies.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- A valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
