Salesforce Solution Architect in Worthing, West Sussex

The Salesforce Solution Architect's role within the Transformation Programme will be a senior IT professional who will work across the breadth of the delivery programme to direct & manage the technology solution within the Programme.

This will include defining architecture & design through provision of appropriate documentation, ensuring all delivery partners understand the solution and deliver in line with it, and oversee the technical quality approach of all parties involved.

The key aspects that define the role's purpose are:

• Quality management & assurance of "Definition of Done" throughout the programme's lifecycle
• Domain expertise & oversee delivery
• Define & oversee quality of delivery
• Coordinate technical dependencies
• Initial point of contact for technical advice

Responsibilities

• The initial focus of this role will be to define & produce the functional & non-functional solution design of the customer's Salesforce CRM system & services, taking into account the delivery road-map, data policy, integration approach & functional aspects of the solution.
• Develop and identify the logical architecture map across all planned releases
• Identify & manage development of Non-Functional Requirements
• Direct the IT delivery partners from technical solution & delivery views, assuring that the solution keeps true to the documented architecture & solution design
• Ensure that solution & architecture documentation are maintained in line with the solution as delivered, and that any changes made against the initial baseline are managed
• Design & develop the physical architecture in collaboration with development teams
• Ensure that the build & test activities within the programme are undertaken in line with the solutions design, architecture & Definitions of Done
• Oversee & assure all technology programme deliverables
• Support testing through direction on technical architecture & testing the technical elements of the Salesforce system

Experience & Key Skills:

• Be able to demonstrate prior experience where they have been directly responsible for & have delivered successful technology solutions within similar circumstances.
• Demonstrable track record of architecting modern, secure, digital IT services in a cloud environment using open source technologies
• Hands-on experience of up-to-date integration solutions & tools in cloud environments (MS-Azure preferable)
• Designing workable, cost-effective migration strategies from legacy to new architecture to another in a live operating environment
• Defining functional & non-functional requirements specifications
• Working knowledge of effective solution design & deployment including modern security techniques and solutions
• Creating effective technical solutions for migration of data from disparate systems into a common data repository (Salesforce CRM)
• Problem solving & handling technical queries from integrators and development partners
• Maintain coherent technical designs across multiple internal & external service providers, and in alignment with the programme's delivery road-map (ie. Multiple releases)
• Ability to explain technical designs, issues & recommendations to technical & non-technical parties
• Ability to quickly assimilate & understand technical details and new technologies
• Excellent understanding of operational requirements & cost considerations
