Project Manager in Bedfordshire

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Project manage a range of project types including vehicle maintenance and repair, vehicle conversion and enhancement, system integration, vehicle test verification, and validation.
  • Cost management, including managing budgets, spend and cash-flow, material management, as well as P&L accounts for board review, and invoicing.
  • You will need a detailed knowledge of the vehicle design and development as well as NPI.
  • A working knowledge of certification requirements
  • Liaising with the engineering team to ensure timely critical design releases and Engineering Timing and Release Schedule (ETRS) methodology
  • Risk Management
  • Managing contract deliverables, concessions, Design Change Requests, and Subcontracts.
  • Reporting to senior stakeholders.
  • Manage or support bid preparation
  • Managing quality and ensuring processes and procedures. Must adhere to ISO accreditations. - Be responsible for maintaining a working environment in accordance with health and safety standards.
  • Able to develop and improve a strong supply chain through audit support and participation
  • Focus on continuous improvement - working with the engineering and production leadership teams to improve efficiency/quality during build.

Experience
Essential

  • Strong understanding of the MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint)
  • Recognised project management qualification or certification - APMP, PRINCE 2
  • Technical minute-taking
  • Good working knowledge of Quality Control management processes and familiarity with working in an ISO 90001 environment.
  • Problem-solving mentality, happy to work proactively within a team and lead from the front.
  • Willing to undergo a Criminal Disclosure check
  • SC clearance or ability to achieve this if not already held (UK national with residency in the UK for the last 5 years)
  • Full UK driving license, due to location of testing facility

Desirable

  • Knowledge of PDM systems & processes would be advantageous
