Planning Engineer - Offshore Wind

Rate: £425-£450 per day

ARM is currently supporting a leading global engineering and construction organisation in the recruitment of an experienced Planning Engineer to join their Offshore Wind business.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced project planner with a background in offshore Oil & Gas, offshore wind or major energy projects to support the development and management of complex project schedules, particularly across tendering and project execution phases.

The Role

Reporting to the Planning Manager, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining project schedules, monitoring progress and identifying potential delays or risks. You will work closely with project teams to ensure schedules remain achievable and that any deviations are identified and addressed promptly.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain project schedules in accordance with contractual requirements and internal standards.
• Review schedule feasibility, constraints and critical activities, highlighting potential issues.
• Implement effective planning and progress control systems.
• Monitor project performance and identify, analyse and report schedule deviations.
• Produce and maintain 90-day look-ahead, weekly and monthly schedules.
• Support the Project Control Manager with project status reporting.
• Provide Time Impact Analysis to support contract amendments and claims.
• Participate in project risk management and schedule risk analysis.
• Promote strong schedule awareness across project teams and stakeholders.
• Support planning activities throughout tendering and project delivery phases.

About You

The successful candidate will ideally have:

• 5-10 years' experience in project planning within the offshore Oil & Gas industry, offshore wind or a related major energy sector.
• Experience with tender planning, ideally within Transportation & Installation (T&I) and/or EPCI projects.
• HNC, HND or Bachelor's degree in an appropriate engineering, construction or project-related discipline.
• Strong practical experience using Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
• Good understanding of project controls, scheduling, progress measurement and risk management.
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
