Mate (Ferry) – Contract in London

ContractARM is recruiting on behalf of our client who are seeking Mates to join their expanding team based in Woolwich, London. Our client owns and operates two Ferries which offer an integral service to those travelling and commuting in London.
The key responsibilities of this role include safe and efficient management of the Ferry under the direction of the Captain. In the Captains absence, the Mate will safe operation of the vessel, the welfare of crew and passengers and protection of the marine environment. .
Other key details regarding this position include:
- Working a 1 week on/off rotation (night shifts may be included)
- Competitive hourly rate offered.
To be considered for the position, you must have the following:
- Boat Master License Tier 1 Level 2
- Updated STCW training (PST, EFA, FF, PSSR).
- ENG1.
- Reside within commutable distance to East London.
Knowledge of the Thames would be desired.
