Infrastructure Support Engineer
DV clearance is essential for this role as the successful candidate will be working in a secure, standalone environment. Labs will need to be spun up, maintained, and then taken down within the lifecycle of the project. Flexibility will be required to work around the project Team and systems availability.
The Full Time Lab work is expected to last for 1 year reducing to 2 days per week maintenance with the remaining time to be filled via infrastructure and security improvement requirements.
Meeting the stringent security requirements dictated by the client, here are some of the activities and requirements you will pick up and lead on:
* Respond appropriately and deal with queries in an effective manner (i.e., punctual; polite and with empathy).
* Take ownership of the work allocated to them and professionally manage requirements through to resolution or escalation.
* Ask targeted questions to apply accurate troubleshooting and resolution.
* Maintain a professional relationship with clients and peers.
* Utilise excellent customer service skills and exceed customers' expectations.
* Design, build, troubleshoot, maintain, and decommission small standalone environments through the lifecycle of the project.
* Collaborate with other teams to maintain standards and functionality.
* Undertake any other tasks as assigned by the management Team.
* Availability during your shift hours (which may incur shift rotation).
* Ability to work unsupervised.
* Prioritise and manage several open issues at one time.
* Apply a high level of attention to detail.
* Collaboration with other technical resources and third parties.
* Documentation of environment, processes, and procedures along with creating guides as required.

* DV Clearance is a mandatory requirement.
* Windows admin level Knowledge W10/Server 2012/2016/2019
* Experience administering Linux operating systems and integration with MS Windows both desktop and server.
* Committed professional with good customer service ethic as working onsite within a technology led, fast changing environment.
* Good understanding of Cyber security practices and systems patching.
* Strong Knowledge of VMWare administration and projects
* Knowledge of CrowdStrike, Windows Defender and other End Point Protection Systems.
* Strong Knowledge of SAN setup and administration
* Excellent Networking skills in LAN and WAN specifically stand alone "Air Gapped Networks".
* Knowledge of systems resource allocation and management
* Setting up, managing and maintain backups. Veeam and other backup technologies and implementing backup strategies, administering backups.
* PowerShell scripting, C programming or Unix shell scripting
* SQL Server database administration and scripting
* Apache Webserver / IIS configuration and support
* SSCM, PC Set up and Builds.
* Building, Maintaining and decommissioning as per lifecycle requirements of whole environment.
* Technical administration of Linux and Windows system
* Excellent at Documenting processes and procedures.
* Assisting and writing risk management documentation for accredited systems
* Monitoring and managing resources for infrastructure with designated workloads.
* Checking log files and audit of procedures for protective monitoring and policies
* Administering primarily Windows Server and some Linux OS
* Managing system resources to meet changing requirements.
* Administering security and software updates on multiple systems
* Planning, development, and implementation based on a standardised model for the future.
* CCISP or equivalent Cyber Security accreditation desirable but not essential
