Information & Knowledge Management Specialist
Reading
6-month contract
Paying up to £550p/d (Inside IR35)
Please note - Due to the nature of the work, you'll be required to already hold or be eligible to obtain a high level of UK Security Clearance
Overview: We are seeking an experienced Information & Knowledge Management Specialist to help establish and govern information and knowledge management practices within a highly regulated environment. You'll work closely with business, digital, and compliance teams to ensure information is managed securely, consistently, and in line with organisational and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain information governance policies and knowledge management best practices.
- Support document and contract management processes, governance, and lifecycle management.
- Promote effective information classification, retention, archiving, and disposal.
- Improve the use of document repositories, metadata, version control, and information traceability.
- Collaborate with digital, data, and compliance teams to embed knowledge management into business processes.
- Deliver guidance and training on information management tools and best practices.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Develop and maintain information governance policies and knowledge management best practices.

Desirable
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Management, or a related discipline.
- Experience with SharePoint or other enterprise document management platforms.
- Experience working within Defence, Aerospace, Government, or other regulated industries.
