As a result, we currently have exciting opportunities for an Engineer- Body Interior to join our Design department based in Shalford or Warwick

Responsibilities:

* Ownership of relevant sections

* 3D package modelling

* Manage interface with styling

* Occupant positioning

* Engineering responsibility (including design andrelease) of full vehicle interior systems:

o Fascia

o Tunnel

o Seating

o Restraints

o Instrument and controls

o Lower and rear trim

o Upper trim

o Closure trim

o HVAC

* Design for manufacture and assembly forresponsible components

* Ensuring responsible designs meet legalcompliance

* Work Package Management

* Design Sizing Analysis

o Sub system loads

o Joints and interfaces

o Materials selection

o Bolt calculations

* Assembly level simulation

* Cost, timing and mass

• Prepares portions of project documentation (models, drawings, reports etc.)
• Assists on a wide variety of tasks across departments and functions as required
• Collaboratively uses judgement to determine adaptions to standard practices
• Undertakes leadership of small work packages
• Undertakes defined assignments
• Develops workflows to deliver assignments

Experience and Qualifications:

• Associate Member of professional practice organisation
• Involved with outreach activities focuses towards schools and education (e.g. STEM)
