Battery Test Engineering - (Northampton) £Competitive salary - Permanent/contract
About you:
The successful candidate will have a proven background in battery testing and familiar with technical standards associated with high-voltage battery packs (UN38.3, ECE R100, etc). Automotive experience is advantageous with familiarity's of methodologies, standards product, system specifications, FMEA, Design Verification Planning. The candidate will be able to supervise and motivate others to lead with IT literacy in MS Office application is essential.
The role:
The candidate will develop facilities investment road maps - including ECE R100 and UN38.8 test capabilities. Further, the candidate will ensure that test equipment, rigs, test scripts and data acquisition systems are appropriate for customer's requirements.
Simultaneously, the candidate will manage the day-day running of the BDC - ensuring the testing is conducted efficiently, with a high-quality data being produced. The candidate will train and mentor technicians/engineers in battery testing, whilst providing technical support towards the delivery of battery test projects - acting as a Senior Authorised Person for batteries.
