PermanentOne of our clients are currently looking to recruit for the following position;
Following the recent award of a condition monitoring project for HS2, our client are seeking a talented, ambitious Engineering manager to lead the engineering and R&D effort in an exciting, dynamic company.
The ideal candidate will have experience in Rail Signalling and/or monitoring and experience in managing a diverse range of products.

Company Industry: Supports railways with a range of diagnostic and monitoring technologies for infrastructure to enable condition based maintenance and prevent asset failures.
Contract Type: Permanent
Office Location: Whiteley, Fareham
Hours per week: 37.5 per week - flexible
Base Salary: Up to £75,000 per annum, plus benefits (Dependent on experience)
Travel: UK and possibly worldwide to visit customers
Expected Start Date: ASAP
PURPOSE OF POSITION
* To manage and have overall responsibility for the technical and commercial objectives of software and hardware aspects for development and customer projects.
* Responsible for the safety and compliance of both product being developed and manufactured in production.
* To support, manage and oversee technical developments. Provide a "whole system" approach to all aspects of development (mechanical, electrical and software) including requirements capture, specification, design, testing, production, approvals, quality and system assurance.
* Ensure that Engineering toolchains are suitable for developments and projects being considered.
* Provide technical leadership to evolve the product line meeting current and future customer requirements.
* Support sales and liaise with other group companies to aid development of a complete system Eco-structure.
* Manage specialist sub-contracts as part of a driven development programme. For example, setting up trials of condition monitoring involving data analysis and pattern recognition, undertaken by relevant specialist
