Facilities & Site Security Manager in Farnborough, Hampshire

ContractResponsibilities are to carry out the duties of the Site Securities Manager, who is in charge of overseeing the implementation of the Company's Security Policy on Site, as authorised by the Head of UK Security.
* Ensuring that all facets of security management are in conformity with legal obligations in the government and military lines of business, including those related to the protection of facility security clearance, the site, and inter-site operations originating on the site.
* Every element of local physical management in relation to site-specific security needs in a domestic and international context.
* Controlling incoming guests and UK employees travelling to off-site locations in the UK and abroad. Upkeep of the database for the visitor notification system.
* Supervision of the third-party provider with regard to the on-site access control requirements, ensuring that both classified and company assets are given the necessary security. manufacturing of ID badges and passes and management of the site access control system.
* The implementation of organisational security guidelines in connection with commercial contracts.
* Maintaining and updating the Security Intranet website.
* Ensuring that site residents who are deployed outside of the UK are aware of local security circumstances overseas.
* The creation and maintenance of efficient communications with local police, customer, and stakeholder security organisations, as well as UK National Security Agencies, and to represent the firm at external events or courses.
* The coordination of frequent and consistent key and document musters, secure filing cabinets, and secure disposal.
* Carrying out the role of a cryptographic custodian and directing the responsibilities of any other custodians.
Required knowledge
- Knowledge of the legal requirements of the Health and Safety at Work Act. * Experience supporting a team of over 70 individuals on a daily basis with facilities management.
- Knowledge of applying corporate security policies, preferably for a Facility Security Clearance site.
- Experience managing external subcontractors to execute duties.
- Demonstrated expertise in site transfers and CHURN; desirable certifications include NEBOSHH or ISOHH
- Strong organisational abilities are required. Self-starter and driven to operate independently.
- Comfortable managing contracts for both services and real estate.
- The capacity to operate under pressure, meet deadlines, and balance competing priorities.
- Effective writing and verbal communication abilities.
