The successful candidate will have expertise and several years of hands-on experience in architecting and configuring infrastructure services in Microsoft Azure, specifically in designing and implementing Enterprise Scale Landing Zones.
The candidate will be working within a project to design & deliver ESLZs into an existing Azure environment which is currently configured in a traditional hub-and-spoke pattern. The role will involve working with the Lead Cloud Architect, key internal stakeholders and external technical partners to create design artefacts, implement new design patterns, perform testing where required, engage in knowledge transfer and support of operational transition, and support any other activities necessary in the successful delivery of ESLZs.
The candidate is therefore required to have strong conceptual design experience, but also extensive hands-on experience of complex configuration in a business-critical production Azure environment.
Technical skills:
Microsoft Azure architecture and conceptual design (Essential)
Microsoft Azure hands-on deployment and configuration (Essential)
Microsoft Azure Cloud Adoption Framework / Enterprise Scale Landing Zones (Essential)
DevOps experience (Essential)
Azure automation and Infrastructure-As-Code (ARM/Bicep/Terraform) (Essential)
Experience of cloud operations (Desirable)
Knowledge of cloud-native development patterns and practices (Desirable)
AZ-305: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (Desirable)
Personal skills:
Highly organised and structured in their approach to work
Methodical in their approach to design, documentation, and implementation
Pro-active in their ability to identify problems and define solutions
Comfortable engaging with wider technical team, and working part of virtual teams to collaborate on solutions
Comfortable leading workshops with technical and business stakeholders
Committed to driving high levels of quality in all solutions, and driving high levels of automation as standard
Previous experience:
Designing & implementing Azure CAF and specifically Enterprise Scale Landing Zones (Essential)
Azure infrastructure service design and configuration (Essential)
Azure automation and Infrastructure-As-Code (ARM/Bicep/Terraform) (Essential)
Working in a DevOps environment (Essential)
