Are you an experienced QC Lab Analyst? Do you have a background in analytical chemistry, microbiology or product evaluation within a Quality Control environment? If so, this could be the role for you!

We are partnered with a leading cosmetic manufacturing business in Hampshire who are looking to hire 2 x QC Lab Analysts to join their Quality Control team.

This role is vital for ensuring raw materials, manufacturing batches and finished cosmetic products meet the required specifications and quality standards before being released for use or shipment. You'll also support environmental monitoring, laboratory investigations, SOP development and continuous improvement activities.

We have a 12 month 14:00 - 22:00 Mon-Fri contract available, as well as a 6 months 06:00-14:00 Weds-Sun contract available.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine and non-routine laboratory analysis of raw materials, manufacturing batches and finished goods.

  • Prepare samples, carry out testing, interpret results and accurately record data in SAP/LIMS.

  • Monitor critical laboratory control parameters, including process water, pH and balances, completing daily equipment verification checks.

  • Conduct environmental monitoring and validation testing.

  • Review laboratory data, calculations, logbooks and supporting documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness.

  • Prepare Certificates of Analysis (CoA) and support the disposition and release of materials and finished products.

  • Identify quality issues and support investigations, including Phase 1 Out-of-Specification (OOS) investigations.

  • Support the evaluation of consumer complaints and Quality Inquiries.

  • Create and update SOPs and provide training on new technical procedures where required.

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across Quality and Operations to identify improvement opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Science, preferably Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology or equivalent relevant experience.

  • Experience within a microbiology, analytical chemistry or product evaluation laboratory, ideally within Quality Control.

  • Experience working within a cosmetics, pharmaceutical or global consumer goods environment is highly desirable.

  • Strong knowledge of laboratory testing techniques, including GMP, GDP and Good Laboratory Practices.

  • Experience using laboratory equipment such as viscometers, colour measurement equipment, Vitek systems and wet chemistry techniques.

  • Experience writing SOPs, deviations, change controls and OOS reports.

  • SAP and LIMS experience is advantageous.
