About the Role:
The Energy Division at ARM is currently Senior EC&I Designer to join a Nuclear Civil company.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Allocate discipline tasks to the team of Designers, ensure inter-discipline coordination, and check drawing outputs in compliance with company and regulatory standards.
- Promote effective cooperation across Design and other functional teams.
- Assist in managing customer relationships, including liaison with existing and new customers, resolving technical issues, and keeping customers informed of progress.
- Advise on selecting methods and tools for tasks and provide technical assistance to the team of Designers.
- Contribute to the preparation/production of drawings in alignment with ISO standards and project requirements.
- Act as a point of contact for discipline-related issues, contribute to design reviews and ensure the functionality of the design.
- Assist in resolving Production & Technical Queries and developing discipline solutions for manufacturing & installation issues.
- Contribute to the learning-from-experience Requirement throughout and post the project.
- Develop innovative design solutions and fulfill Design Lead responsibilities for multi-discipline low-risk projects
- Stay updated on best practices in designer expertise across the design lifecycle, promoting a culture of best practices and driving cultural development.
- Maintain awareness of industry developments, techniques & tools, physical integration, bill of material controls, and design maturity management
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation, Company policies, and procedures related to safety, diversity, performance reviews, and finance.
- Support business-winning processes and business development opportunities in the client's profile.
What You Need to Succeed

Experience Qualifications/Skills:
- HNC/HND minimum in a relevant discipline OR equivalent academic qualification
- Experience in a detailed design environment.
- Proficiency in CAD tools and General Engineering Drawing Practice
- Incorporated Engineer status
- Demonstrable experience in technically leading a multi-disciplined design team.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with other disciplines.
Desirable:
- Membership in a relevant Professional Institute
- Broad experience in commercial or defence projects
