ARM are working with a leading local government organisation who are looking at climate policy and leading sustainability within the local area developments and planning, to this end we are currently recruiting for a Climate Change Planning Policy Manager to work with them on a permanent basis and help deliver this important change.
About You:
* You will need to have demonstrable experience of helping form and deliver Climate Change Policy.
* You will have expert level experience and knowledge of climate change mitigation and sustainable development within planning, infrastructure and / or transportation.
* You will have experience of management of others and ownership of projects or programmes relating to this field of work.
* You will have experience involving driving change, developing stakeholder relationships and delivery of key messages.
What you will be doing:
This is a key position within a local government authority that will help drive and deliver better climate outcomes in its area and help it deliver on its zero-carbon transition. You will manage a team of specialists to help deliver sustainable development in regards to their planning policy for now and for the future.
This position will see you based in Oxford and working hybrid with just one day a week required in the office and the rest can be worked from home or the office if you prefer.
What you can expect in return:
The salary for this position is between £45,500 and £48,500 and will be dependent on experience and suitability for the role. On top of this is a range of excellent benefits and local government pension scheme.
