Our client, a global leader in their field, require a Voice Planner/Network Engineer for the following role -
Voice Planner Cisco IP Network
The role of the Voice Planner is to produce the low level designs and bill of materials to allow our implementation vendors to smoothly migrate locations from traditional PBX to Cisco IPT, following mandatory design standards.
This role will have scope of projects in the UK and Europe but will work with global colleagues in engineering as well as operations. Working as part of the global team, the Voice Planner will peer review designs from colleagues to ensure best practice and adherence to Corporate Standards.
During implementations or site moves, the Voice Planner will work closely with and act as SME for the implementation vendor and day 2 support vendor to ensure that each deployment is successful. This may, depending on sites, involve travel to site. The VP may be required to provide solutions for unique and unusual customer requirements that may involve existing legacy solutions. It must be stressed that this position requires an individual with real voice planning/engineering experience and has worked on projects relating to Cisco VoIP implementation projects.
- Cisco Unified Call Manager Design & Update skills
- Good global communication skills
- Experience of complying with corporate standards
- Demonstrable experience of working with autonomy as the designated expert in the voice design field
This position requires an individual with real voice planning/engineering experience with Cisco CUCM solutions. The candidate should have worked on projects relating to Cisco VoIP implementations. Ability to demonstrate experience in troubleshooting CUCM and Gateway issues Knowledge of designing new sites in and operating CUCM, including, for example, definition of translation patterns Knowledge of gatekeepers and gateway operations, configuration and architecture Knowledge of SIP Protocol implementation / operation
