A globally known FTSE100 company are looking for a number of proven engine test technicians to be based onsite at their engine test facility in Bedfordshire as a result of continued growth and winning large programmes with key automotive OEM customers. The team are a close-knit group of individuals who are incredibly down-to-earth and can help you achieve your career aspirations!
As a Test Technician there won't be two days the same. Within their engines facility you will be responsible for maintaining multiple engine test beds simultaneously in regards to validation, durability, calibration and development of customer engine programmes.
This will include installing the engine within the test cell, fabricating brackets, rigging the engine in to the cell, performing pre-test checks, running the test, collating test data, liaising with other technicians and test engineers, performing any engine service tasks and potentially carry out further tests on inconclusive results with the aim of achieving the customers' targets.
+ Full strip and assembly of Gasoline/Diesel engines.
+ Previous background working with engine dynamometers
+ Knowledge and usage of test instruments such as thermocouples and pressure transducers.
+ if the words 'AVL Puma' or 'Cameo' mean anything to you then extra kudos!
+ Ideally City & Guilds in Automotive/Mechanical Engineering or time served as an apprentice.

+ The shift pattern is 1 week of 6am-2pm and 1 week of 2pm-10pm giving you flexibility and you will miss rush hours!
