We have an opportunity within a leading automotive client, based out of their Warwickshire head office. Test Operations Engineer - Powertrain will be responsible for designing and developing all early Powertrain systems

Position Description:
The Opportunity Reporting to the Leadership and Strategic Transformation Manager the Technical Training and Development Lead's role is to ensure appropriate, relevant and timely development and training interventions so as to improve the technical competency of those within Powertrain Test Operations (PT-8) and beyond where appropriate into Powertrain. In doing so they will support the embedding of a learning environment within Powertrain and deepen the understanding of the values amongst the workforce. You will work as part of a team ensuring the priority and focus of technical training meets PT-8 and wider PT needs; the groups you will be working with are: Advanced Apprentice (PT-8), Degree Apprentice (PT), Graduates (PT), New Starters (PT-8) and Current Team members (PT-8). Key Performance Indicators The KPI's for the team include the delivery of: - 100% of Apprentices and Graduates trained to the required level of competency within the timescale given - 100% of identified individuals that need refresher or up-skilling training within PT-8 to achieve the competency required within the timescale given - 100% of those new in post to PT-8 to be inducted

Skills Required:
1) HNC / HNC in training or equivalent I.e. Level 5 qualification in leadership and management
2) Proven experience of working in a technical training environment with a knowledge of adult training and development
3) Proven ability to plan effectively, co-ordinate and control own workflow and achieve quality results.

Experience Required:
Knowledge, Skills and Experience Essential: - HNC/HND in training, or equivalent, i.e. Level 5 qualification in leadership and management; - Proven experience of working in a technical training environment with a knowledge of adult training and development; - Proven leadership and workload management experience; - Proven ability to plan effectively, co-ordinate and control own workflow and achieve quality results; - Natural problem-solver with proven experience and structured approach to problem solving in a technical training environment; - Knowledge of company Health and Safety requirements, including Risk Assessment, COSHH and SDS; - Computer literate, including Microsoft Office competency to produce plans, presentations, graphs, process and SPL documents; - A full UK driving licence with less than 6 penalty points, no disqualification, 2 years accident free record.

Experience Preferred:
Desirable: - Educated to Degree level in an Education, Business, Science, Engineering or Mathematical discipline.
Knowledge of the Powertrain testing environment.
