This will include liaising with the customer in the first instance to provide technical input in to emissions development programmes; documenting their test requirements; creating a functional test specification; translating this in to a test procedure for the technicians to then carry out; oversee the vehicle preparation and equipment installation; collate and validate the test data; draw up recommendations with professional test reports; present findings to the customer; whilst always striving to reduce waste and develop cost reduction initiatives.

Ideally, you will currently be working as a vehicle test engineer, development engineer, performance engineer, project engineer or similar on a variety of emissions testing and calibration programmes. You will have a sound knowledge of diesel and gasoline engine systems and be a strong communicator who can represent the company in front of major customers. You may also be working within either a variable temperature emissions chamber or a four-wheel drive emissions facility.
