Job Description

Test Engineer (Portable Emissions)
Location; Bedfordshire

The engine development and emissions market is in the news on a daily basis at the moment and with the ever increasing government awareness striving for a carbon free future, an automotive consultancy are leading the way towards it! At present, they currently offer test and development consultancy services to a majority of the UK's automotive OEM's and (with the increased workload) are looking to modernise, update and expand their powertrain/engine testing capabilities.

Furthermore, the EU has a piece of legislation which states that all vehicles will need to be tested out on the highway as dyno testing cannot account for variables like road surface, aerodynamic drag and the constant stop/start of UK traffic.
With that in mind, you as a test engineer will be responsible for all aspects of portable emissions and fuel consumption testing from liaising with customer, test planning, creating test instructions, supervising technicians, equipment installation, testing, formulating and validating test results before reporting back to the client.

Can you tick off the three following points?

- Prior background working with chassis dynamometer vehicle emissions testing.

- A proven test engineer who performed full lifecycle test planning, execution and data analysis.

- A valid UK driving license with zero points (maybe even additional vehicle licenses!).

On top of that, a degree in an engineering field would be beneficial as well as strong customer-facing skills.

In return for the above, you will receive a competitive salary as well as a 10% non-contributory pension and other benefits. All test engineers applying must be eligible to live and work in the EU without restrictions.

Advanced Resource Managers Engineering Limited operates & advertises as an Employment Agency for permanent positions and as an Employment Business for contract/temporary positions.
