Test Engineer

Do you have experience creating test plans for armoured and military vehicle programmes? Can you co-ordinate whole-vehicle durability tests?

Job Description

We have a fantastic opportunity within a specialist manufacturer of armoured and tactical vehicles, based in Surrey. You will be responsible for the testing and validation of component and whole vehicles.

Your requirements:
-You will have completed an appropriate degree, preferably engineering related
-Full UK driving licence is essential, preferably with 3.5T approval
-You would must likely have worked in an Automotive/Defence/Seating test environment
-Experience of working with external test facilities
-Experience of report writing, additionally being able to use data acquisition equipment/software would be ideal
-Knowledge of vehicle systems
-Knowledge of blast protection, would be of benefit
-Eligible for UK Security Clearance to minimum SC level

Your responsibilities:
-Supervision and execution of component and vehicle testing
-Instrumentation and data acquisition of vehicles and components
-Processing of test data, report generation and presentation of results to relevant engineering personnel
-Procurement of appropriate test rigs and test equipment
-Inspection and reporting of failed/fatigued components
-Generation and/or update of test procedures
-Generation and management of test reports, certificates and other documentation
-Managing of test assets
