Crawley (commutable from Guildford, Croydon, London, Tunbridge Wells, Brighton, Hampshire, West Sussex)
£39-45k

Technical Trainer required for planning and creating training provision for new products for our medical device manufacturer in Crawley, West Sussex.

Responsibilities:
oTo provide expert technical knowledge, participate in the design and development, and deliver the technical training requirements in support of products
oTo devise in collaboration with other training colleagues the training strategy for new products and implement and monitor the rollout of such training to the business
oTo create, control, conduct, monitor and support training courses including the creation of training material in multimedia format as required, student assessment sheets and practical tests
oTo assist and advise in identifying training needs for staff and students
oTo advise and assist in the procurement of specialist courses by external consultants
oTo deliver training globally as required in order to meet strategic and operational objectives

Requirements:
oThe Technical trainer mus be competent to work unsupervised on the spectrum of BAOS linear accelerators, XVI, MLC, and IviewGT, or similar radiotherapy equipment
oCT or other imaging expertise
oVideo creation and editing skills desirable
oTeam player able to operate individually and as a team member during training course delivery
oCompetent trainer
oAdaptable and flexible
oHigher level qualification (HNC/HND) or Degree in Engineering or Physics, or equivalent experience
o 'Train the trainer' qualification ideally
oTraining design qualification an advantage
oTechnical support of radiotherapy equipment in the field or in a hospital setting
oExperience as a trainer
oThe Technical trainer would have experience of training design an advantage
oExcellent communication, presentation and coaching/mentoring skills
oAbility to manage resistance to change or challenges presented by trainees and cultural differences
oExcellent management of time and resources
oQuick learner able to assimilate new information, skills and technologies
oProven engineering skills: mechanical, electrical, electronic fault finding including analogue circuitry, plumbing, vacuum, radiation engineering
oProven computing skills competent in the use :MSExcel, MSWord and PowerPoint
oAbility to demonstrate assessment skills: Examination invigilation, practical assessment
oAbility to demonstrate authoring skills: Creating, maintaining of course documents
oProven facilitation skills: Conducting meetings with colleagues
