Technical Sales Engineer - Electric Motors
Commutable from; Oxford, Bicester, Banbury, Abingdon, Silverstone.
Salary from; £20,000 - £21,000 + Commission (Uncapped OTE) + Benefits

Are you an engineering graduate who is looking for a role which incorporates a healthy mix of technical engineering but also the opportunity to develop commercially and gain credibility in the business world?

A client of ours are a fairly new company in the Oxford area who are currently developing some pretty electric motors for automotive, marine and industrial applications.

Being a small company, they are now looking for a technical sales engineer to join their small sales & marketing team of about 3 other sales engineers to help bridge the gap between the engineering team and the customers.

As a technical sales engineer you will be responsible for a number of activities including performing market research, meeting with customers, performing demonstrations and presentations, create drawings, support on proposals & enquiries, liaise internally between engineering and communicate that back to the customers and providing ongoing support, after-sales and service to develop your target customers within your given sectors. You will also have the opportunity to support on creating customer specific marketing material as well as the company's social media campaigns.

Ideally, you will be an engineering graduate with a strong knowledge of electric motors or electric drivetrains and be a confident, clear communicator who the client will feel happy to place you in front of their current and prospective clients.


- An engineering degree is a must, ideally mechanical or electrical bias.
- A strong communicator who can perform product demonstrations, presentations and build rapport with key industry players.
- A knowledge or prior usage of a CRM system would be beneficial.
- Fluent in English- any other European languages would be good too.
- Tenacious, positive, self-motivated - all the typical buzzwords you would normally see on a sales based role!
- Ultimately, you must showcase some serious customer skills.
